Founded in 2015, OwnBackUp is working to revolutionize the cloud data security market, which experts predict will be worth close to $70 billion globally by 2025.
The firm promises clients secure, automated, and daily backups of online data, as well as sophisticated data restore tools for when disaster strikes and they’re in need of a quick recovery.
As well as Salesforce and Insight Partners, OwnBackUp’s Series D funding round — which took the firm to a $1.4 billion valuation — was also backed by Sapphire Ventures.
